New Beginnings

I am sitting here at the computer and thinking of all the events that have led up to this day……  I still remember my mom saying, “ Are you sure you want to start this?  Once they taste how good these cakes are, you will be so busy you won’t know what to do!”   Still to this day Rowland makes her say it every time he sees her…  “I told you so!”    Growing up, I only knew my Granny’s baking.  It was just how food tasted to me.  It feels my heart every day when I hear how much someone enjoys our cupcakes and cakes!   I look up to heaven and smile :)  Granny, see your legacy lives on!! 

When we started this business we honestly were going to just do it for the holidays and then stop.  However, God had other plans for us!  We have been so blessed these past few years and we are now embarking on another journey together as a family!  Just before our 3rd Birthday we will be opening our first retail location!  I can hardly believe it!  Growing up in the restaurant business(and vowing to NEVER own a restaurant!), I see it all coming full circle!  I can’t wait to document the adventure of getting the store open and share our experiences, joys and challenges!   

We have just started construction, demo done…..  now the building begins!  Stay tuned to hear how things are going and to laugh and possibly cry along with us!  Sweetness Warriors, you have been with us since the beginning.  Are you ready for this new adventure!!??
